Updates to Google Business Profiles

Google has started rolling out a change to the way business owners like yourself access their Google Business Profiles (formerly known as "Google My Business"). The Google My Business app for mobile devices is being replaced by the Google Maps app that you likely already use for directions.

How you access your Google Business Profile on a desktop computer is changing as well. Rather than managing, updating, or posting to your profile from the Google Business Profile dashboard, you will be able to manage it directly from Google Maps and Search.

The goal of these updates is to make it easier for businesses to claim, access, and manage their profiles using the same Google Maps and Google Search we use everyday.

You might have already seen a notice about the changes when logging into your practice's Google Business Profile. It looks something like this:
