How Do You Measure SEO Success?
Is it Traffic?
What is the point of having a website? For people to see it, of course!
If your website is getting a decent amount of traffic, then you know it’s being seen; however, it doesn’t help your practice to have a high amount of web traffic if it isn’t the right type of traffic. The right type of traffic, aka “new patient traffic,” is website traffic from people who live or work within 20 minutes of your practice.
There are other factors that need to be analyzed in addition to the amount of traffic to determine if your SEO is sending “new patient traffic” to your website, such as:
- Bounce rate – the lower the bounce rate, the better
- Time on site – aim for 2 minutes or more
- Pages per visit – multiple pages per visit indicates your visitors are interested in your content
Amount of traffic + bounce rate + time on site + pages per visit = a piece of the puzzle
