What makes this relationship so unique is that Steve is an Australian and Bill resides on the opposite side of the world at 7,000 feet on the edge of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Both are keenly interested in the challenges facing licensed professionals and have brought their patient-centered marketing strategies to dentistry.

"If it weren't for the Internet, our collaboration would have been impossible," observes Steve. "Thankfully, by being among of the pioneers using Skype (voice over Internet protocol), the 10,000 miles that separate us would have made this enterprise impractical."

"After working together since 2003 to develop and manage over 1500 practice websites, Steve's Australian accent no longer confounds me," smiles Bill. "But we do have the occasional laugh about "color" versus "colour" and why Australians seem to think the letter "z" is so precious, preferring to spell optimize, recognize and similar words with an "s” instead of a "z." It makes it interesting."

"When it comes to visits to the dentist, I’m one of the nervous types," continues Anson. "So, I probably share a lot in common with people who will be visiting the websites of our Smile Marketing clients. I've put my experiences to use, helping keep the patient communications we conduct on behalf of our clients relevant and reassuring."

"I've been fortunate," smiles Esteb. "I've only had about three dentists my entire life and my experiences have been great. I actually look forward to my twice-annual checkups! So, I bring more of the prevention and wellness perspective to the equation."
